Campsea Ashe Parish Council is exploring opportunities to designate certain rural lanes around the village as “Quiet Lanes” . This is a county-wide initiative with the hope of linking villages for horse-riding, cycle and walking routes.
In conjunction with Suffolk County Council (Highways), the PC has identified Marlesford Rd, Hacheston Rd, Mill Lane U3603 (from B1078 junction Pub Corner to Quill Farm), and the lane connecting the end of Mill Lane U3603/3604 by Quill Farm to Railway Bridge/Track U3603 as being suitable for designation – the lanes are marked in green on the map attached here, with proposed sign locations marked with a green cross.
More details are on the neighbour consultation letter which is attached here.
If you wish to make any comments about the proposals please complete the form attached here and send them either by email to the project lead, Klaus Fortmann, at clerk@campsea-ashe-pc.org or by post to Campsea Ashe Quiet Lanes Project c/o The Old Smithy, Eyke Rd, Campsea Ashe, IP13 0PY. In either case so as to be received by the closing date of Tuesday 15th April 2021.
This scheme will be discussed in a public meeting by 30th April. Meetings are currently held virtually via ‘Zoom’ and if you wish to attend please contact the clerk via email clerk@campsea-ashe-pc.org for the online access arrangements.
